Tonks' first inclination when starting to date was always to do whatever she could to impress the bloke as much as possible. She'd enhance her appearance a little, make her hair something bright and eye-catching, do something to make him take just one extra look.

She started to do it with Remus, too, but then she realized just how silly she was being, and did something a little unusual - she let her hair go its natural shade of brown (though maybe a little less mousy than it would normally be), and let her eyes go gray. She didn't think Remus had ever seen her real eye colour. Most people hadn't.

She wondered what he would think, if he would say anything. If he would look at her any differently. She was wondering a lot of things, tonight.

	You should show it more often, Dora. You're beautiful just the way you are, without any morphing. Not really... I was always rubbish with girls when I was younger. 	Maybe it's not about being charming. You're just... honest. Every bloke I've ever dated told me I'm just fine the way I am, but they still asked me to change, sometimes.
